By and large, it was superb base for sightseeing in Cirencester, had much fun and met attentive and extremely helpful stuff at every level. The location was beautiful for traveling around Cirencester, close to a pub, Cirencester, and the pub's restaurant. It also was in the Cotswolds. We loved staying 3 nights here

Lack of adequate wardrobe space!!! Poor Wi-Fi connection!!! Difficult navigation inside the pub, which could confuse new guests!!! Improvements needed for dinner reservation management!!!

The king room offered a beautiful garden view and showcased charming decor while being fully updated with modern amenities. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide selection and attentive staff. Prompt service resolved a minor issue with the shower. The location was convenient for exploring the South Cotswolds, although the limited number of rooms makes it feel exclusive.

Superb traditional experience with friendly staff
The room was beautifully decorated and surprisingly spacious. The staff were cute and accommodating, evenproviding a good meal option on late arrival. Breakfast was a highlight, with freshly baked croissants and a variety of choices that set a perfect tone for the day. While everything was wonderful, a clearer signposting for navigation around the hotel would enhance the experience.

I found the room spacious and well-equipped. Offering a nice cold meal option on a late arrival. Breakfast was good, and I appreciated not being rushed. I also enjoyed some drinks in the lovely garden area.
I noticed that the shower could have been cleaner, and it was initially a bit challenging to navigate the hotel.

Cozy charm and amazing staff!
We spent 7 nights in a double room and it was such a nice experience! The staff were like family-Nick, Andrea, and the whole crew. Breakfast was to die for, seriously. Only thing was the room could've used a bit more lighting. Sit by the fireplace with a drink. You won't regret it!

Charming décor captures the traditional character of the Cotswolds, offering a cozy, inviting pull. The garden view from the room provided a good backdrop for a peaceful retreat.
The bed left a bit to be desired in terms of comfort, even if the size was generous-ideal for a wookiee but not necessarily for rest. Navigation through the pub to the rooms felt a touch disorienting, especially with a lack of clear signage, which can be frustrating after a long journey. Dinner options could use an upgrade. The vegetarian dishes left a lot to be desired, and the delay in food service left us wondering if we'd need to order takeout instead. If you're hitting the road, bring your charger-EV stations aren't mentioned anywhere, so you may be out of luck.

The staff were really helpful, I called ahead about dinner and they prepared salads for us even after hours.
It wasn't exactly bank-friendly but worth every penny.
